:: Press Release - April 17, 2014

The Board of Directors of Parkland Foundation, along with the contributing member municipality mayors, met with Capacity Development Consultants from Alberta Municipal Affairs on April 2, 2014.

From this meeting came an invitation for the Board to come to Edmonton to meet with Capital Initiatives and Stakeholder Relations staff and tour an example of a newer housing complex which includes a lodge.

Parkland Foundation would like to take the time to consult further with Alberta Municipal Affairs to obtain as much information as we can before proceeding with hiring a project manager, cost consultant or architectural firm.

As always, we are proceeding with caution while keeping the best interests of Alberta Seniors and taxpayers in mind.
